Outer Banks Conservationists
Outer Banks Conservationists is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to protect natural, cultural, and historic resources through preservation, public education, interpretation, and outreach, to instill these values in others for the benefit of future generations. Since their work began in the 1980s, Outer Banks Conservationists have saved the Keeper’s Dwelling at the Currituck Beach Lighthouse from abandonment after nearly 45 years, completely restoring the compound and the Lighthouse to be open to the public as it is today! Today, Outer Banks Conservationists continue to maintain and operate the Currituck Beach Lighthouse along with Island Farm on Roanoke Island.
In the Summer of 2022, Outer Banks Media was tasked with transferring Outer Banks Conservationists’ previous website into a new WordPress theme. While transferring the website we set up a seamless event calendar for seasonal events at the historic sites and created Google Ads campaigns under Google’s non-profit advertising grants program.
The fast-loading new website helps our Google Ad account remain in compliance with Google’s standards, but we also manage each campaign for the best ROI, updating them whenever new events are added to the website.
