For Lodge owners Chip and Helena Stevens, they wanted a website that mirrored the charm and history that the property itself so proudly carried. “Our website was in need of an overhaul,” said Helena. “We wanted to improve the look and feel of our site, including pictures of the rooms and apartments along with the ability to easily find accommodations that matched customer requirements,” she added.
OBX Media worked with Chip and Helena to review their existing site to determine which features they favored and which aspects of the site they wanted to refresh. “Design and navigation are two very important pieces of site development,” said C.K. Evans, Owner of Outer Banks Media. “The Stevens were very decisive on what they wanted to see in the new site, but were also open to listening to ideas we had that would improve site usability and performance,” Evans added. Increasing the number of images on the site was a priority, giving visitors an idea of the rooms and property itself. They also built the pages for the rooms to include multiple pictures along with a description, and a filtering feature so visitors could sort available accommodations based on specific features (such as pet-friendly, floor level, or bed size). Guests also have the option of reserving rooms online and even sharing on social media.
